webwhizz

The programme inspires pupils and teachers to design, create and upload their own website. In the programme, every pupil in the school contributes to making the school website, coordinated by the older pupils - and they manage it all in a day! The process is not long or arduous, but fun and highly educational. A website gives pupils a chance to publish their work to a world audience, enhances the profile of the school and gives pupils their own place in the interconnected world of the 21st century. The process of making the website is a purposeful experience of working with text and graphics and information technology. Accompanying the programme is a CD-ROM which makes the process as easy as possible. The CD-ROM includes user-friendly software specially designed and adapted for school use, clear guidance on how to design, build and upload a good website, and templates, graphics and routines.
