| Using a quiz show format and hosted by Michael Fenton-Stevens this series was very much "sitting forward " television - the programmes
have ten video sequences each followed by a question, which the viewer
has the chance to answer. Encouraging children to identify clues to their local area's history in buildings,
documents, artefacts and eye-witnesses, the programmes build up knowledge of key historical periods.
The series was nominated for
the Japan Prize and a BAFTA, and won the Royal Television Society
Best Junior Programme in 1996.
