These five programmes tell the story of the science of Earth as a planet. The presenter is Godfrey Duncan Tuup, a tradional storyteller, and the programmes combine science and story in a unique way. Much use of blue-screen technology combining spectacular graphics, live action and film footage make these programmes compulsive and unusual viewing.

The series also brought to attention the best nmemonic for the order of the planets: My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets.

The series was nominated for a BAFTA and the Japan Prix in 1997.
